Life-Saving Products For Bleached Hair

Blog post

I wanted to share with you the hair products I’ve been using since having my hair bleached multiple times. I touched upon some of these products briefly before on one of my other posts.

As many of us will know, hair needs a little extra TLC after it’s had a round of bleach on it (let alone four). My hair was almost ruined by bleach in the past and admittedly, I didn’t take the time to look after it properly afterwards. This time around I was determined to invest in some hair products that would protect my hair going forward.

Kérastase Resistance Bain Force Architecte

My everyday shampoo. Kérastase Resistance Bain Force Architecte is the only shampoo I’ve ever used that has made my hair feel like pure silk from the second I’ve rinsed it out. It works unbelievably well. In case you’re not familiar with the brand, Kérastase products are enriched with proteins that help keep hair healthy and prevent breakage. This shampoo in particular is from their Resistance range made specifically for damaged hair. Perfect for locks that are in need of a little extra lovin’.

Kérastase Resistance Ciment Anti-Usure

Also part of the Resistance range, Kérastase Resistance Cement Anti-Usure is the ultimate follow up to Bain Force Architecte. Just like the shampoo, this conditioner leaves my hair feeling super soft. I use it every time I wash my hair. It has a lovely thick consistency that feels luxurious in your hands and a little goes a long way.

Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo

This is literally the best purple shampoo I have ever used! Nothing compares to it for banishing yellow and brassy tones! I substitute Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo for my usual Kérastase shampoo every third wash (or whenever my hairs feeling particularly brassy). It helps to keep my hair a nice cool tone. Not only does this stuff work wonders, it has a lovely flowery scent and I find it doesn’t dry my hair out completely like other purple shampoos. I usually apply a generous amount to my roots and mid-lengths and leave it in for 5 minutes. When the times up, I work it into my ends and leave in for another couple of minutes before rinsing it out. It leaves my hair a nice even ash blonde.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime

Liquid gold in a bottle, I can’t rate this oil highly enough. I wanted to buy a bottle of Kérastase Elixir Ultime hair oil for months before finally finding the courage to part with my hard earned cash. It’s quite pricey at £39.50 for 100ml, but if you want to keep your hair hydrated and healthy then it’s worth buying. Half a pump of this oil rubbed between my hands is enough to completely transform the ends of my hair when it’s looking dry and unhappy. It’s smells gorgeous too!

Since I starting using these products regularly my hair feels and looks healthier than it’s been in a long time despite what it’s been through over the last year.

Which hair products do you swear by for bleached or blonde hair?
